Hospital Pharmacy Professional Development
Program
Target
Audience
This program
will be of interest to individuals in hospital pharmacy practice
in a variety of settings including acute care, long term care and
ambulatory care; and will focus on the development of pharmacy practice,
clinical pharmacy and pharmacy management skills.
Format
This is a two
week program consisting of workshop sessions, lectures, and discussion
sessions as well as a period of practical experience in a Hosptial
Pharmacy Department. Two days each week will be devoted to workshops
and lectures and three days each week the participants will gain
practical pharmacy experience through a pharmacy practicum. During
the practicum, individual participants will be matched with designated
mentors who are hospital pharmacists in practice. In addition, the
participants would be invited to participate in department seminars
and meetings, make site visits to other hospital pharmacy departments
or community pharmacies.
